What if Luffy’s next big power-up comes from an unexpected source like the Mother Flame?

As we know, the Mother Flame is a substance created by Dr. Vegapunk. It seems like the Mother Flame acts as a fusion reactor, basically a “sun in a bottle”. Luffy’s Nika form requires a massive amount of energy, which he currently restores by eating a lot of food. But what if Luffy could solve this problem by eating the Mother Flame? With a fusion reactor in his stomach, he’d have an endless power supply. Why do I think this might happen?

Luffy has grown significantly stronger, especially since the start of the Four Emperors Saga. Despite his current strength, he might need additional boosts to take on powerful opponents like the Five Elders or Imu. Luffy’s Nika form is powerful but I believe this form might not represent his full potential but a weakened state.

Consuming the Mother Flame, an almost limitless power source similar to the sun, could help Luffy transform his Nika form into a stronger version, possibly changing from a white Nika to a full-power orange form. This sun-like upgrade would fit with Nika being known as a sun god, given that his current powers don’t have a sun-like quality. I’m excited to see how Oda might incorporate this dramatic power-up into Luffy’s battles and what creative moves could result.
