In the latest casting news for the One Piece live-action series, Sendhil Ramamurthy will portray King Nefertari Cobra, the father of fan-favorite Vivi. Known for his roles as Bloodwork in The Flash and Mohinder Suresh in Heroes, Ramamurthy joins the cast as a key character in the upcoming season.

Series Update
While the live-action adaptation will not cover the Alabasta arc in the immediate future, the addition of Ramamurthy brings new excitement to the series. The first season, which premiered on August 31, 2023, received positive feedback for its cast and faithful adaptation. Season 2 is in production, with a tentative release date set for 2025, pending Eiichiro Oda’s approval.
