Could the Straw Hats gain another Devil Fruit user?

We know that Dr. Vegapunk, the brilliant scientist with the Brain-Brain Fruit, meets his end aboard the Thousand Sunny. We also know that when a Devil Fruit user dies, their power transfers to the nearest fruit, like what happened with Smiley on Punk Hazard. The Straw Hats have a tangerine tree on the Thousand Sunny. If Dr. Vegapunk were to die, the tangerine tree on the ship could be the closest fruit tree ready to inherit his incredible power.

Could one of the Straw Hats, maybe Nami, who has always been connected to the ship’s tangerine tree, become the next to gain the Brain-Brain Fruit? This would give her Vegapunk’s vast knowledge and intellect.

Another possible candidate could be Franky. As the crew’s shipwright, gaining Vegapunk’s knowledge would greatly improve his ability to upgrade the Thousand Sunny. We know that Franky once had the blueprints of Pluton. With this Devil Fruit power, Franky might be able to turn the Thousand Sunny into a warship capable of fighting against Pluton.
